GovSat-1 Capacity

KEY COVERAGE FOR GREATER FLEXIBILITY AND SECURITY

GovSat-1 is a secure satellite capability exclusively dedicated for governmental and institutional users. It features high-powered fully-steerable spot beams in X and Mil Ka-Band, and a Global X-Band beam. It is equipped with anti-jamming features, encrypted telemetry and control (TT&C), and is offered on a non-preemptible basis.

Due to its orbital position at 21.5° East, GovSat-1’s coverage reaches from 50°W to 90°E and 70°N to 70°S. We offer capacity for short and long-term lease from MHz, transponders through to beams with full steering rights in X and Mil Ka-Band. The capacity can be packaged with other offerings (including terminals, secure hosting, secure Mission Operation Center services and anchoring services).

Secure Beam Steer Commanding

GovSat provides its users with the possibility to steer a dedicated beam over an area of interest, and benefit from great flexibility. This means that you can:

  • Define the exact position of the beam steering for both static and “follow me beam” applications
  • Optimise your coverage over operational areas.

GovSat provides different forms of accesses for raw satellite capacity or as part of an integrated services offering. The format of the capacity we provide can be threefold:
  • Lease terms, which is usually set on an annual basis and can be committed for longer periods
  • Occasional use, for a specific timeframe
  • Via our integrated services, as part of a package
  • In theatre communications
  • Reach back
  • Communications between theatres of operations
  • 1,2m fix terminal: 50 Mbps
  • 0,4m Satcom on the move terminal: 5 Mbps
  • 1m Satcom on the pause terminal: 20 Mbps
